OK, so this post isn't in any way related to my beloved Cincinnati Reds. It does, however, address my 2013 card collecting goals that have become sidetracked this year by bobbleheads and my concentration on the 1986-87 Fleer basketball set. While those are two of the primary reasons, the other has been that my vintage needs for 1952, 1953 and 1957 haven't been fruitful since I haven't found any cards I need for what I'm willing to spend. I was able to pick up a 21 year old card today that I had always wanted but was always a little too steep for me to pay $50 for. I spent far less than that for this beautiful Mariano Rivera 1992 Bowman rookie card and I'm very happy that I only need one card to complete my 1992 Bowman set (a Mike Piazza rookie - hopefully I'll have it in hand before the end of December!). On a side note, did you know that Mariano Rivera could have been a Red back in 1996?
