So old yet so good!

I'm a little discouraged that baseball season is coming to an end and with it another year drawing to a close. I can't believe it's already the middle of October and the holiday season is quickly approaching. It's around this time of year when I look at my collecting goals (but since I didn't set any goals this year I'll have to look at my most wanted list) to see what I've knocked off the list. Sadly, I haven't picked up a single card from my 10 most wanted. Instead, I've been focusing primarily on my Pete Rose PC as well as my 1971 and 1965 Topps sets. There are two T-206 cards I have on my Top 10 that I was hoping to purchase this year, but I still haven't been able to find any at a price I want to pay and in decent condition. I did, however, find this nice T-206 Hans Lobert the other day and I'm glad that it now resides in my collection. Sure, it's a piedmont like my other tobacco cards but I'm ok with that. I think it would be great if I could have at least one card from each of the various brands (Piedmont, Sweet Caporal, Polar Bear, Sovereign, etc.) but I'm not going to lose any sleep if I can't make that happen. This is the 8th T206 card in my collection and I'm hoping that by the end of next year I can have half of the Reds team set complete.

Wrapping Up an Album!

It's been a long time in the making, but I've finally completed my Album of Amazing project. I grabbed the last couple of cards I needed yesterday and it was a fun project to tackle. Sure, it didn't fit with my Reds collecting needs but it did allow me to pick up some cards for my collection I would not have thought about adding before. Here's the last of the cards for my album

1961 Topps Wally Moon
One word...unibrow

1983 Fleer Mario Soto
Not everyday you see a teams equipment box on cardboard

1988 Fleer Jack Howell
Run for your life! The zombies are coming!

1991 Upper Deck Rich Gedman
This card leaves me speechless.

1994 Collector's Choice Jose Canseco
He must work out.

1994 Stadium Club Orel Hershiser
Taking out the lawn.

1995 Pinnacle Charlie Hayes
Facemasks are for football, not baseball!

1998 Topps Jay Bell
Four!

2014 Topps Gold Justin Maxwell
And finally, a celebration to end this project!

Thanks everyone that made suggestions for this album. To see all 90 cards that make up my album of amazing you can click the "Album of Amazing" link on the right side of this page.
