Chipping Away
I haven't made much progress tracking down vintage bowman cards to wrap up my 1948-51 Reds team sets. I was hoping to complete at least two of these sets this year but the chances of that happening are quickly diminishing. I still have four months, so it's still a possibility. We'll just have to wait and see. I have been making progress on another goal that I began this year. I'm currently up to 164 2014 Billy Hamilton rookie cards. Although it will be impossible for me to complete this goal before the end of 2015, if I can hit the 200 card milestone and have 25% of this project complete I'll consider it a great accomplishment.

More Odds and Ends
Recently I picked up a few more cards for my Album of Amazing project. I'm slowing approaching my goal of 90 cards and will probably have this project wrapped up by the end of the year. I have one (possibly two) additional projects that I would like to start at the beginning of next year but I'm still on the fence as to whether or not I should pursue them considering that I still have a mess of vintage needs left to address with the Topps sets I'm chasing as well as some pre-war Reds cards I would like to acquire in the near future. Here's the latest additions to my Album of Amazing.
1966 Topps Don Mossi
Love the ears (and the old Kansas City Athletics cap)
1970 Topps Tony Taylor
Love the shot with all the lumber
1984 Fleer Rudy Law
Don't mess with him, that's all I have to say
1992 Studio Jose Lind
What's a pirate without a sword?
1994 Score Kevin Brown
Talk about sporting retro
1996 Score Charlie Hays
Whatever it was that was on your chin, I think you got it.
2009 Topps 206 Tommy Hanson
Was he taught to pitch like that? Just curious.

A Nasty Bobblehead!
It's been more than two weeks since my last post. I apologize because I've been extremely busy with work (traveling to San Antonio for training) as well as trying to find a balance with my new responsibilities at work. I do have packages that I will get out in the mail this evening to Nick and Charles for their recent generosity. I would have had them postmarked sooner but, as I stated before, I've was messing with Texas. My latest purchase for my collection is the Nasty Boys bobblehead the Reds handed out to their fans this year. 25,000 of these nodders were handed out to fans on April 25, 2015 when the Reds faced the Cubs. Needless to say, the game was rained out. I do like the fact that this is the first triple bobblehead the Reds have given out and it celebrates the Reds wire-to-wire championship season of 1990. Norm Charlton, Randy Myers and Rob Dibble were a force to be reckoned with that year and when Lou Piniella went to his bullpen you knew the game was pretty much over.
