When I found out years ago that Fleer released a product in 2001 called Fleer Legacy that came with an autographed fitted hat, I knew I had to track down one of these for my collection. There are two Reds players that are included in the checklist: Johnny Bench and Sean Casey. I already have a lot of Bench autographs in my collection so I decided to chase after the Mayor. I was finally able to track one down this week for a decent price and now I'm just waiting for it to arrive in the mail. I like the black hats the team used in the late 90s and I do wish the club would wear them every now and then. I think it'll complement my autographed Tony Perez hat nicely.

Love this hat! I took a break from the hobby sometime in 2001 and don't think I saw this product. But when I returned in the late 2000's, I saw one of these hats and started collecting them. I know I have Gwynn, Thome, Glavine, and Bonds. I'd love to one day add a few more... including Bench. The problem is I don't really have a good way to display them. Maybe one day if I ever get my dream house with a proper man cave.
